This regional premiere of the rarely-heard 1725 version of St. John's Passion will be preceded by a brief address providing historical and musical context.

Founded in 2025 by New Yorker Hannah Milnes, River Valley Baroque is committed to sharing the richness of Baroque music with communities throughout the Hudson Valley and Catskills.Through historically informed performances on period instruments, we strive to recreate the expressive power and authenticity of this timeless repertoire. Our ensembles bring together internationally accomplished musicians and gifted
vocalists to present works ranging from intimate chamber pieces to major masterworks.
